![]() ![]() When we launch we’ll have a variety of 3-player squad and solo game modes. In Crown Rush Squad, the main mode available during the Technical Test, you play in 3 player-squads against 32 other teams, so that’s 99 players total. We’ve seen varying amounts of player counts in battle royale games? Is it 100 here? Can you play in a variety of sizes (solo, duo, quad etc) That’s where innovations such as the Hacks or the Showdown come from. What we focused on after that was making the battle as spectacular and streamlined as possible, so the pace is intense from start to finish. We got to find out some of the key differences from other games, modes that the battle royale will have when it launches, a tonne of information about its weapon and hack (abilities system) and some of the cool stuff that the studio is doing with Twitch integration. wait.We spoke to Chris Pope, Game Designer from Ubisoft Montreal about Ubisoft’s new battle royale game, Hyper Scape. In all, I think these are changes the community will welcome, and they seem to be smart changes that don't seem to overreach or over-change. I think it might just nudge the showdown balance ever so slightly in the direction people have been hoping for. I'm glad the crown mechanic isn't going away or changing too much, but I can get behind a 60 second timer. With the mag size down, it seems like it will be a more balanced trade of RoF for damage, as opposed to a RoF DMG trade with a nice heaping bonus of a 150+ round mag. ![]() the more and more I think about it I still felt the Hex was just too good of an all purpose weapon, hopefully this will make it fit in a bit better and bring some balance. At first I thought the aiming issue alone would balance things, but you know. I'm sure the Hex/Mammoth changes will be widely appreciated. The controller choice is something I felt was priority #1 and it's great that this has been addressed so quickly. I think the highlighted changes are good. Wasn't expecting a whole video on the 1.1 update but it's awesome to see that the team spent the time to clearly communicate what we'll be seeing here with a nice preview. Wow this is awesome, and is a testament to the great dev support we've been seeing from Ubi. ![]()
